General & Bariatric Surgical Associates (GBSA) is made up of a group of highly trained professionals, all of whom have consistently excellent results.  All of our doctors are board certified and are Fellows of the American College of Surgeons.  GBSA has been serving the Brazos Valley for over 19 years, always with our patient's and their families best interests at heart.  Surgery can be a scary adventure and our office strives to make this process as comfortable as possible.  
 

Over the past 7 years our practice has taken a very special interest in tackling the disease of obesity by offering , the gold standard for surgical weight loss, the LAP-BAND System and Gastric Sleeve procedure, all with very low complication rates and no fatalities.   Our goals are to identify patients who will benefit from bariatric surgery, provide consistent error free application of surgical techniques, and effective postoperative care with subsequent clinical outcomes that far exceed recognized standards.
